I think everything derives from their approach at the plate - collectively they're just so disciplined, waiting for pitches in the zone and mostly hitting the ball hard - that's going to yield good results most nights.

That was kind of a fun bad team. You at least had a sense that there was a real plan and that Stearns was going to be the man - so that made losing that season kind of ok.

What an insane sequence

Once Chourio is back this team will be as overloaded with guys who merit playing everyday as it has ever been. Murphy is going to be faced with a very high class problem.

That's a very interesting thought - he's been so awesome defensively in the outfield that my guess is they won't want to mess w/ it and also risk it somehow adversely effect his hitting - but man, it's a VERY intriguing idea.

Almost everyone on fire at once. We're in high class problems zone. When Chourio is back good luck juggling the outfielder starts. I could make a legit case for each of Chourio/Perkins/Collins/Sal being everyday starters. And Yelich needs to be in the lineup everyday as well!

It's certainly a weird injury. I'm trying to remember the last start if a ball went off his leg or something. But yeah, seems like it very well might be load management.

We all should've bought stock when he into the DP in game 1 against the Cubs. That was the low point of the season for him - since then nothing but rockets.

The Brewers acquired the awesome version of William Contreras at the deadline for nothing.

Yup, some fans will still find a reason to complain but it's a great move - no downside for the system and we may have added a real leverage RP for the stretch run.
