Vulgichneumon brevicinctor, it’s a species of ichneumon wasp! This species is a parasitoid of moths!
I think they are a neat little friend!

I found some amber jelly roll!
It is an edible jelly fungus that can be found year round! It doesn’t have much of a flavor but it does add texture to soups and stews!
I walk beneath a sea of trees. I feel no wind from the comfort of my depth but look up to see the surface; a torrent of gusts blow the treetops to and fro.
It is beautiful.
The creak and squeals of tree trunks sound like all too familiar marine life. I am a fish beneath the waves and I swim on.
The woods like to play jokes on you. Laurel and rhododendron may pick your pocket. Oaks and Pines alike delight in dropping their acorns and cones upon your head. And in winter, as I recently discovered, enjoy throwing snowballs at you as much as anyone.
