Mainly it matters to be right now because I really do love Eblana, Loughshinny and their relationship. But you can't really separate how complicated their feelings for each other are, nor that it goes a little bit beyond a sibling dispute.

It is weird trying to discuss characters where incest is like, an actual relevant part of their characterization. People have such a habit of going "Eww icky" or "You just have an incest fetish" but it's not even like, a fetish? It's just the text. Gacha fandoms are especially bad about this.

One of the small details I really really love a lot about C9 is like, everything this passive says in so few words. It doesn't need long exposition to say that Vergilius, who treated Dante as little more than a petulant child at first, now truly respects them as a coworker.

But also seriously fuck the tomb of giants. Seriously, I have to assume that entire area was made like 2 weeks before they had to ship the game.

It's not even like I was having a bad time before or after that, but I ALSO have an issue w/ my eyes and color differentiation so... big dark tomb is not great for me! And the catacombs just exacerbated that.

And this is on my mind again because I had a really bad time in the catacombs+ of DS1, like "asking how any of these people were allowed to make another game" bad, and someone got genuinely offended that I was insulting their favorite game.
