🦴-. Honekami can die. They don't age, but they CAN be killed by other Yokai or mortals with spiritual powers. When they die, they do not pass on to the next life. They fade to nothingness, and will not go to Yomi or be reincarnated.

🦴-. Something about cat tails makes Mally DEEPLY uncomfortable. If a cat's tail is about to brush her, she WILL move out of the way. This is because of her trauma from Kasha paired with Shinto superstitious traditions such as cutting a cat’s tail short in order to prevent it from learning magic.

🦴-. No body was ever found when Mally died, and the investigation remains unsolved to this day. No one knows for sure if the person she used to be is really dead or not. Her body was taken by a Kasha before she was even fully dead.

🦴-. Mally didn't look the same in life as she does in death. Her current form is more of a reflection of her soul than an accurate representation of her body. Even if she saw a picture of herself from when she was alive, she probably wouldn't recognize it.

🦴-. Mally was a social media influencer in life! She wasn't EXTREMELY popular, but she had a rapidly growing fanbase and a bright future ahead of her. However, one day, she simply disappeared while filming for her next project. No one knows what happened to her.

🦴-. While in her ghost form, Mally CHOOSES whether or not the living can perceive her. However, people with strong enough magic or spiritual awareness may be able to see and hear her regardless of whether or not she wants them to.

🦴-. Since being banished from her shrine, Mally's body has been physical. She can, however, revert to a ghost form at will. It just costs her spiritual energy to do so. She retains some of her Honekami powers even in her physical form, but they get stronger when she's a ghost.

🦴-. Mally is short for Malleus, the name of the ear bone! Mally doesn't remember what her name used to be when she was alive, so Malleus was chosen for her by the other Honekami.

She's hyperactive and mischievous, but although she likes to cause trouble, she's not malicious. She's very friendly to mortals, even if she does like to scare them a little bit for fun. She gets attached to people easily, and if she takes a liking to you, expect to be "haunted".

She's proud of her status as a guardian spirit. She may suck at her job, but she's not above leveraging the title to get what she wants. She's DEFINITELY let it go to her head that Honekami are supposed to be worshipped by mortals.

She's not inherently upset about her exile, since she's rather fond of mortals, but she's not used to existing in a physical state, and without her memories of life, she knows VERY little about mortal culture. She's CONSTANTLY confused.

She cannot re-enter her shrine, and is forced to live amongst mortals once more for the first time since her death. Her exile will not be concluded until she grants 100 blessings and consumes the souls of 100 evil Yōkai.

Instead, she was more interested in pranking the mortals that game to the shrine than performing any of the usual duties of a Honekami.

Due to the shrine gaining a reputation among mortals for being "haunted" by Mally, she was exiled by her clan.

She never really fit the mold of "noble guardian spirit". Even following her death, she had tons of energy and just wanted to play around and goof off. Unlike the others, she wasn't really bothered by her death, nor her inability to pass on to the afterlife.

Mally is one of the Honekami.

Even to Mally, the person she used to be in life is a total mystery. She awoke surrounded by other Honekami, a group that had found her and taken her in as a member of their clan. She lacked any memories of her life, or even her death.

Although they are able to enter the living world at will, they have proven incapable of accessing the underworld. No Honekami has ever successfully accessed the underworld before, even after hundreds of years of amassing power.
