Thank you. It was a great adventure. My take on the starting combat is just my own preference over the quality of the product.

I’ve been meaning to check out there stuff for a bit now. All the more reason too.

Anyone else tried The Great Thaw? I only got through the first part, and would love to hear what others thought.

It’s a minor niggle to a great entry level adventure. You can easily throw in a small skirmish at the start, that would tie into the story.

Overall, a great adventure, one I was glad to purchase, and a piece that can set the standard for 3rd Party Draw Steel content going forward.

I felt the start was a bit slow. Obviously The Great Thaw isn’t designed to teach the rules, but if I run it again, I think I will throw in a combat in straight off the bat.

All the tests and negotiation was good, but we only got into a battle after 2hrs of play.

The fight in the temple was great! Shoving enemies across the slippery ice floors to cause extra damage really felt as Draw Steel should.

The tests from the get go, and how they were used to mix with Negotiation was really good to see, and helped get my players invested in these new systems.

The art, the story, and the layout for the adventure was super easy to follow. I had less then an hour to prep for a 3hr session, and was able to get ready in good time.

The product features some wonderful maps, and leans well into some of the best aspects of Draw Steel mechanics wise.

It was a trial game for my players, after running the start of the Delian Tomb for others. I wanted to try another adventure to improve my Directing. Here are my thoughts.

This is exactly what I needed. Thanks for sharing. My group are finishing off our 5e campaign, but have trailed Draw Steel for our next one, and cant wait to jump over. They weren't certain about the Negotiations mechanics, but I think this crib sheet will help them get to grips with it.

To clarify, running a Director Character because:

1. Only have 2 players and the Delian Tomb balance only goes down to 3.
2. Were trialing the game and it seemed like fun.

But yeah, playing both sides whilst they and I are learning is brain hard. I need my players back.
