The repugnicans have shown an astonishing capacity for unity, and look around. They’re playing the long game. If I don’t support the democrats, what is my coalition? Jill fucking Stein?
Many Dems suck but in aggregate they are what passes for hope these days. I’m still voting for harm reduction.

Those default settings look pretty good as a starting point. Thanks Rob!

I haven’t started posting things.
I’m not sure swapping one social media account for another is what I want at the moment; I had a FB account for a couple years without doing much with it, then the platform took off. Maybe that’ll happen here too, eventually…

I take in a digestible amount of news updates via a handful of Substack writers who I trust. Some of them include recommendations for citizen actions, and that feels useful.
Having my brain pommeled by political horrors in a steady drip is not helpful, and only serves to overwhelm.

No.
Following events and knowing what is going on is important, and I am pretty comfortable getting a digestible amount of current events updates from the Substack authors who I follow. Many of them share ideas on how to take small actions as a citizen, so *that* feels helpful.
