I believe this for myself - have always loved variety - but I’m also deeply suspicious of platforms that benefit from mass departures. Those who leave are preoccupied with the work of re/building, gathering = relief, yet distracted. Meanwhile, the (unbearable) spaces we leave behind gain momentum.

It feels especially useful right now to remain literate in all platforms, or have those around us who are.

No matter where you are in your trans-ness, if you are feeling despair, I cannot recommend enough engaging with the writings and histories of our elders who lived our lives before the 21st Century. It is both not as dark as you think and tougher than you think. And it will give you something.
