You know the Bowens and the Aberharts feuded right up until ol' John died in 1957, it was quite the thing.

Anyway, LGs have fought us here in the #AbLeg before, and it's, uh, well always super fun to watch

So showing his usual tact and charm, Bill had me sneak in and cut the power water and heat off to Government House and as soon as he could, Bill booted Bowen out and down the street so hard he landed in the MacDonald Hotel!

King (did we decide it was George?) didn't interfere, but he knew about it!

And John Bowen had a teensy concern or two about that, and so he had reserved the bills.

Reserving a bill is like Cellaring a wine: you put it away in the dark and check on it every few years to see if it's matured enough to tolerate, kinda like we do with Wee Devin.

You see... there was a bit of tiff at the time between Bill Aberhart and Johnny Bowen who was LG at the time about the fact that Bill wanted to print his own money, control the media and impose Christian values on Alberta.

It was a different time, clearly.

Ok, I mean, he probably said something stuffy like "Do we pass Government House?" but ol' Vic is telling the story and I remember how I like, not how it was, like how we all remember the NEP.
