Some fault to them, though, because I’d never feel confident enough to provide my two cents to the point of arguing over something I’m uninformed about 🫩 because how can you form a solid opinion without comprehensively learning about the subject/topic? But yet, here folks are, doing it anyway lol.

Especially when you consider the state of U.S. education. Over half the country cannot read above a 6th grade level, which means there are folks on here determined to be right about an argument they are genuinely unable to fully comprehend. Exhausting, truly.

I do the same with muting misery, but it’s something I have to do daily and gets old. Makes me not want to even bother being here.

There’s a level of self-awareness that’s missing for a lot of folks online. Our experiences shape our opinions, which means that sometimes our truth ≠ objective truth.

And when there are disagreements on here, a lot of folks refuse to listen to the other person. It’s very draining. I encourage some of y’all to take a break from screens, specifically social media apps, for your mental health. I don’t think a lot of folks even realize how miserable they are. (2/2)

Almost every time I get on here, my feed is full of bitterness – arguing about nothing, rejecting the concept of nuance/grey area, and angrily engaging with their interpretation of what someone else said… even if their interpretation is incorrect. (1/2)
