The way the press is treating chatbots, like they have agency and they “know” things all of a sudden, crossed the line recently from dumb and obsequious to something else entirely. Treating them as alive and making conscious decisions is an almost religious belief. It won’t age well.

It’s so cool that every website is just Like This now. We used to send guys to the chair for putting pop-up ads on their sites. Now if I want to read something I have to read single lines between autoplaying video ads that use so much RAM they force the browser to reload every 5 seconds.

This entire grift relies on convincing people that they don't know how to do the things they have always known how to do, and ironically, if it works, we will, in a very short amount of time, forget how to do all the things we have always known how to do.

While no Sanctum members made it to Worlds top 8, we still had multiple very strong showings when all things settled this weekend!

Toni Portolan finished 14th with Temur Otters, which was good enough for a 3rd place finish in the Player of the Year race! Congrats on an incredible year Toni!

Damn the shade at Chris is craaaaazy

Sanctum had a great day today at Worlds, with not one but TWO teammates at the top of standings going into day 2!

cftsoc (Rei Zhang) and Toni Portolan are both 6-1, both on our version of Otters without many Boomerang Basics. They'll both be in the featured pod for the draft tomorrow!

On top of that, we also have two more teammates in day 2, both on different versions of Jeskai Control:

Chris Botelho is 5-2 on Jeskai Cursed Recording Control.

Jennifer-Rose Holloway is 4-3 on Jeskai Gwen Shiko Control - a deck we affectionately have been calling "Jen Caseys".

I wanted to win at least one match at worlds, but not like this 😭
