Very happy to share the paper on nuclear mRNA export by Nataliia Stefanyshena now out in #NAR! Nataliia uncovered that, counterintuitively, an excess of the conserved mRNA exporter Mex67 in yeast messenger ribonucleoprotein particles (mRNPs) impairs mRNA export.

Happy to share the work by Fabienne Becker et al in #NAR, showing how yeast Tho1-CTD stimulates helicase activity of Sub2, homologue of human DDX39B/UAP56, by promoting Sub2 oligomerization on RNA. The scaffolding mechanism is shared across species:
