As organizations continue to deploy wireless solutions, they can’t forget about the wired side. Security is still needed on those switch ports and you should know what devices are connected. Cisco ISE can help with the visibility and control for wired devices as well.

The Catalyst 9200L I upgraded in the lab last video, I now make the connection up to the Cisco Meraki Dashboard in order to use the Cloud CLI.

Catalyst 9200L switches can be supported in the Meraki Dashboard even while running IOS-XE code. The first thing to do is upgrade to the required code:

Cisco ISE can be used to control and manage admin access to network devices like your switches and routers. It uses TACACS+ to Authenticate, Authorize, and provide Accounting for the users who are logging into those devices.
