Noooo, I need an excuse for my general mediocrity that doesn't require actual hard work to solve

Notably, ever single year I've been here in the past, there's a horde of folks from Ontario and Quebec.

This year, there are zero.

Ominous signs on the economy abound, and this is a big one, I think.

We've camped at the Outer Banks every year since 2014, and this is the emptiest I've ever seen it. Usually you have to make reservations over a year in advance, and this year, about 30% of the spots are empty, and they asked us if we wanted to extend our stay a night or two at a discount.

I know firsthand of an EMS agency that told a wholly unqualified, lily-white applicant they absolutely did not want to hire their hands were tired because of "DEI" and "affirmative action" in order to not have to explain "You're a garbage candidate".

I'd simply like to recall, when I ran for office here in Virginia, I was roundly criticized by "The Establishment" for cheering that my Republican opponent retired- the guy who is now cheering on the ICE expansion, who was Trump's campaign chair in Virginia and brought him legitimacy here.

All of these people end up in the emergency department, so even if you don't have Medicaid, you're gonna pay for these cuts in a huge way.

Christ, my UVA tuition from 2007-2011 cost less than the daycare costs for my daughter over the same time period, and not by a little. By a lot! That was most of my student loans, actually, her daycare!
