small game update - I'm starting to feel early burnout and since I still need to cook for a year or two I'm going to take it easy with development for the next couple of weeks at least

He totally got the game's strengths and weaknesses and what it shines at - chaotic improvised janky combat. I really wish I hadn't gotten burnout and be 1 bad day away from not paying rent or food by the end of development, but maybe one day I'll return to the update I was doing

You're right yeah! I totally forgot that there's a Unity built-in method for particle collisions. Now it's a matter of making it look good
