11.10.2025 17:11 β π 45 π 9 π¬ 7 π 2I've been thinking lately about how books, videos, and other forms of art need generous audiences. When I first read The Great Gatsby in high school, I ABSOLUTELY LOATHED it. Looking back, the problem was not Gatsby but its reader, who could not summon the generosity of spirit to imagine the characters with much richness or complexity, despite there being plenty of nuance on the page. Meanwhile, mediocre art can be made great by a reader/viewer who arrives willing to share their deepest selves with the story. In fact, I think the definition of great art is maybe, "Something made great by the vulnerability and care of an audience."
this feels relevant

11.10.2025 00:32 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I just had some high shower thoughts about doing this with secret of us and ttpd
They're all talking about towers and ceilings and it's driving me nuts ππ This is why I am considering how they would mix in the best way to tell the most cohesive (ish) story
Tell the truth but at a slant
11.10.2025 00:09 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0What if you add the first 12 tracks of Gracie's "the secret of us"?? Idk which order, but I think im gonna try it and I wanna hear what you think lol (but don't feel obligated to do it like rightnow or anything!)
Just something I've been wondering about!
