To expand on this, right now ~200 postdoc fellows directly funded by NSF are locked out of their salary &research funds right before the first of the month. No doubt other NSF funded grads &postdocs are affected as well. All requests for funds put in before the freeze are slowly being cancelled

EXACTLY!! And god forbid you say you use condoms, I’m so sick of them being like “well then let’s just take a pregnancy test because those aren’t 100% effective” as if any birth control is??? Wouldn’t we prefer women understand their bodies and cycles more?

It’s amazing how once you tell doctors you’re not on birth control but you track your ovulation cycle, they’re like 🤨 and make you take a pregnancy test.

I feel like collectively we should be talking more about the way avian influenza is spreading 😬
