Brian McKnight’s Son, Niko, Passes Away After Battle With Stage 4 Colon Cancer | Essence Niko, whom Brian shared with ex-wife Julie McKnight, was 32.

Crisis mode unlocked…By the year 2030, Colorectal cancer will be the number one cancer killer in persons under the age of 50. This young man was 32 years old.

We need to be encouraging each other to #GetChecked. That little belly ache, that pain if something doesn’t feel right, don’t ignore it.

I’ve been seeing more patients lately with fissures that just won’t heal. It’s not always the tear—it’s the muscle spasm that keeps it open. These cases remind me how important it is to look beyond the surface when discomfort lingers. Thought I'd share!

It’s not just older patients anymore. I’m seeing more colorectal cancer in people in their 30s and 40s. Subtle symptoms, easy to miss. These aren’t isolated cases—there's been a shift. Early screening remains critical in prevention. We have to stay diligent to educate our patients.

Patients Feeling Bloated? Here are some quick tips for them:
✅ Sip warm lemon water in morning
✅ Add fiber-rich foods like kiwi, pears, oatmeal
✅ Go for a light walk right after meals
✅ Try peppermint tea or ginger root to calm digestion
