I'm afraid that in these 'debates', facts don't matter. There is political capital to be made on anti-Muslim posturing, regardless of reality.

I see your point. But I also imagine that those who pose a threat to Muslim Americans are not interested in reading information that counters their prejudice. And if they see it, they will ignore it or call it a lie.
