For anyone who knows me, or has seen my messages here, I have wanted a Southern Islands collection for about 23 years. Yesterday I took the first step!

I purchased the empty binder, which came with its sleeve and the post cards. It's in great condition and only cost me £30!

Now to get the cards...

While Mythicals get their own pages, the author (Frost) thinks that Mythicals ARE Legendaries. They're like how a square is a square but also a rectangle.

This was originally intended to be one long guide, but eventually got split up three different sections (Legendaries, Sub Legendaries and Mythicals) to keep the page shorter than an encyclopedia.

After much work, we have three new guides in the Psylab detailing the various Legendary Pokemon in the series.

I only had the Nintendo Powers with the fourth, fifth and sixth Pokemon Powers, and my favorite part of those little inserts was the manga-esque adaptations of the first six episodes of the anime...

And yes I misremembered that it was actually the January 1999 issue #116 of Nintendo Power, and the 6th and final Pokemon Power that had this insert. Despite the obvious VOLUME 6 at the bottom there...

I hope at least 1 of the 151 winners gave awful answers to the giveaway questionnaire, such as "What do you think of the Pokemon television series?" "3. I don't like it"

I am trying to research how Mythical Pokemon have been made available over the years for a page on the Psylab. This is how I remember Mew being introduced to the American public, in the November 1998 issue of Nintendo Power/issue 4 of their 6-part Pokemon Power insert.

This is actually something that was coded into the site intentionally 15-20 years ago. But we agree it's not really necessary anymore and removed it.

Mew has 100 base stats in every thing. ?????

My favorite thing about early official guides is how they just kind of blunder through quantifying base stats for each Pokemon based on nothing but vibes.

The Pokemon that runs this account

I had to take some liberties with sub-grouping the Legends Arceus item list based on item functions. The lack of pockets in the Satchel means items in PLA are either a "Key Item" or "everything else" and that produced a long messy list otherwise.

Sorting out all of the items was a necessary step to complete the Tech Dex update, as the in-depth effect information for Natural Gift and Fling rely on the items being indexed in our database. Needless to say, the Tech Dex updates are finished now too!

Item lists finally have been completed and added to the site for all of the games since Gen 6: XY, ORAS, SM, USUM, LGPE, SWSH (and its two DLCs), BDSP, Legends Arceus, and SV (and its two DLCs)!

This game, available now, was made in part by somebody very important to the Psypoke team! 🪄
