Worth noting as this may be the 1st time the activation of Art 7(1) in respect of Hungary has led a court in another EUMS to find the asylum application of a 🇭🇺 citizen admissible on account of Protocol no 24, point (b) before granting the application

Some of the most beautiful natural areas in Hungary have been devastated to pave the way for real estate developments of the Orbán family. Or remember the destruction of the trees in Sopron, in the 9th district, cutting the century-old forests along the Danube or the clearing of trees in Városliget.

Interesting, as my impression was that they hate trees. Even emergency powers were exploited to relax regulations on tree-cutting, making it easier to destroy green spaces, which the WWF also condemned.

Trump's win could spell the end of Biden's higher education policies President-elect Donald Trump has said universities are run by "Marxist maniacs." His win poses a threat to President Joe Biden's education agenda.

There's a difference between claiming a mandate and having a mandate. Journalists and some academics assume that Trump now has a mandate for anti-intellectualism. An unforced error; no need to adopt such a far-right framing. As of now, no evidence higher ed. played a real role in the election.
