It’s interesting that people still have to defend fantasy. I find it takes more effort to read fantasy sometimes. When I’m emotionally burnt out, I can’t suspend disbelief, so I go through phases when I only read contemporary fiction and nonfiction, then return to fantasy when I’m feeling better.
