Tough end to the shift and I still have another shift to go tonight. I was feeling anxious about my Florida trip but now I’m looking forward to a chance to get out of state and decompress from my job. I’m mentally exhausted.

I can’t really put to words how angry I am at the Dems who caved. When they literally had the upper hand. Thanks to them insurance is going to be astronomical for so many.

After a monstrous game from Gibbs and really great games for Stafford Jennings, McBride, and Collins— I just may win so long as Dallas Goedert and Romeo Doubts don’t drop 45.7 points tonight.

I knew it was gonna be an adjustment period for my body getting on birth control for the first time @ 34 but dang dawg I’m like 3 days past when my period should have been over and still spotting. Not to mention the excessive bleeding during the worst of it. 😭

Hubs & I have been wanting to have an overnight trip for awhile so we settled on one for our Christmas gift to each other. Staying at a hotel I’ve always wanted to in Cle & got reservations at a fancy steakhouse for us. Plus there’s a coffee shop I want to check out nearby.

I bought this after eyeing it for awhile, I feel so adulty somewhat having a skincare routine now.

It doesn’t help I work tonight and already won’t get a lot of sleep because Calvin and Chloe have a grooming appointment at 10:00 am.

Today would have been my mom’s 63rd birthday and I’m trying to remember to think of the good memories and honor her instead of spiraling into an existential crisis.

I may not be the biggest winter person, but there’s something about the first snow. ❄️

Only got 13.2 points last night between RJ Harvey and JK Dobbins so I fear I could be headed for another FF loss this week. I need someone to ball out. It was between playing C. Watson on GB vs. RJ and I took a chance on RJ since he had two good last FF games. So naturally he didn’t tonight. 😆

I hope this blue wave keeps rolling next year. 💙💙💙💙 We the people are mfing tired of the shit going on in this country. 🫩

I’m struggling hard with depression this morning. So I’m gonna yap about non-sad things. I’m down 8.5 points in FF heading into MNF. I have McBride, Pickens, and Aubrey. Opponent has Lamb and Harrison. Do I have a prayer? 🤔

Her birthday is coming up on the 10th and I know I’m going to be a mess. I work and I don’t know if that’s a good or bad thing. I was thinking I could tough it out through the holiday season without breaking down but that’s looking unlikely. 😮‍💨

We helped tear down some decorations then my friend and I stopped for brunch before heading back home. I was so exhausted when I got home about 1:30p I laid down to nap but then couldn’t stop crying when I did. I couldn’t help but wish more than anything I could hear my mom’s Halloween ringtone.

I have a hard time flipping my sleep schedule and sleeping in unfamiliar places, so I just cried silently when my friend and I went to our room in the Airbnb to sleep because I missed my mom so much it physically hurt. I finally passed out from 4:45-7:45.

We had a great time and we vibed with a lot of the people there. But at some point late into the party Monster Mash played and I started crashing out internally because my mom loved that song and made it her ringtone every year around Halloween. And I was so sleep deprived.

This weekend was a blur of sleep deprivation, fun, but a tough grief day for me Sunday. I worked Thursday and Friday. Had ~4 hours of sleep Saturday before my friend drove us down to Louisville for a Dia de Los Muertos celebration that a mutual friend of ours and her wife hosted.

I genuinely have about 2 functioning brain cells lately— *completely* forgot that tomorrow is my Hot Mulligan concert. 🥵 I’m so excited I was randomly able to snag VIP tickets for this show.

My FF team was firing on all cylinders and was 6-0. Now here I am about to lose for the 2nd week in a row. 😮‍💨 Getting straight clobbered with Gibbs and Nico out. Would love to have Trey Benson back and healthy for a needed boost too. 🏈

I really hope the people of Jamaica come through this hurricane without life-altering catastrophic damage. The only place I’ve ever been in the Caribbean, so it’s somewhere that holds a special place. ❤️🇯🇲

Reading through monthly staff meeting notes— all you see or is implicitly implied is “nurse’s responsibility” & the lack of shared accountability across the board is what contributes to burnout & makes nurses leave bedside. We are expected to do our job and make sure everyone else does theirs too.
