I just realized that there are a lot of parallels between figure skating and Monster Jam and it’s my new favorite thing.

As an author, the question I hate being asked the most is “How do you create such likable villains?” and that’s because it’s so so hard to keep coming up with answers that sound more writerly than “Oh I have two cats”

I was just struck by the comparison of the person my son sees in me and the person I see in me.

The instructions to my Ryobi lawn equipment are severely lacking, but I read them over and over. Today I realized I vastly misunderstood how the, uh….well how the batteries work. I had enough power to mow the WHOLE LAWN, weed eat, and leaf blow. I have literally never done the last two.

Ooh that would be worth trying. It would need to be The Weather Channel though because the Apple Weather app is consistently wrong.

I have this magical ability to check the weather forecast 15 times per day and still not remember it. It’s really quite something.

Oh no, I just realized I have lost my snarky weather updates since I deleted Facebook. Hmm.

I deleted the big Meta apps off my phone yesterday. I’m heading into a stressful season (well…more stressful) and already could tell I was hooked on Reels. The change has been huge already, and for the better.

Should note I’m in the US.

Posting because I used to go to Twitter for stuff like this, but our Spotify kids apps on our iPhones are not working. It seems to still be working on the iPad, so fingers crossed that this clears up before it affects the kid. #spotify #spotifykids
