I plan on making content based around the lore of Unturned maps, despite the state of the community, with the hope of seeing the game find its second wind this year despite how poor the reception is at the moment.

I wish for this games success, and I hope there is a future for unturned rather than further deterioration of the community and state of the game, but with how unreliable the community is, and how narratives are being spun, my hopes are low.

Many long time community figures have come and gone, and in turn new people have stepped up, with good and bad eggs in that group, but as such there is no longer a presence on YouTube for the game, and social media like Twitter becoming toxic pissing matches.

The multiplayer is in its worst state yet, with vanilla servers being extinct and many maps having no active servers, and even those that do have active players are often roleplay, heavily modded, or creative, reducing the community greatly, with no natural way to create communities

Curated maps go from clearly designed to fit unturned’s gameplay with a balance of PVE and PVP to hyper focused on PvP and nothing else, alienating players and further causing pointless side taking.

I’m concerned for the future of Unturned, it feels like what
was once a fun niche game has become a warzone of petty
arguments and drawing arbitrary lines in the sand, it’s hard to know what to think when there are so many moving parts and sides to each story.
