It’s really hard to want to stay invested when these two absolutely cannot catch a break. Zero reprieve. Zero reward. Brian and Ellen got one. It was great. But I wanted it for both couples. #bloodofmyblood

I have very little hope this will get any better next season. Both of them, but Julia especially, are primed for a massive crashout when they realize they can’t get back to Claire. (Which is material I love for both actors.) Then there’s Henry’s confession about Seema looming large. #bloodofmybloodh

We got repeated intercuts of Julia and Henry on horseback. A 15 sec scene where they don’t talk around a campfire (Henry bonding with the baby was cute). Then they arrive at the stones without ever discussing a plan? Julia realizes in that moment the baby might not be able to travel? #bloodofmyblood

They were tortured all season with little payoff. After 7 episodes, I was owed a grander, emotionally satisfying reunion. Instead, we couldn’t even get one conversation? No discussion of what had happened to them? #bloodofmyblood

OG Outlander just jumped from one trauma and story beat to the next without ever letting anything resonate or allowing the characters to process what has happened to them. It gets old and grows untenable after a while. Looks like #bloodofmyblood intends to do the same with Julia and Henry.

Ellen asked Julia if she would be “crossing the bridge on you way back to Leathers?” as she was leaving. To which Julia replied Yes. Brian is the bridge. They used that code the last time Julia came to Leoch. Ellen knew he was there or at the very least sent Julia.

Henry is a tortured Big Wife Guy and Julia would do anything to protect her children. Being separated from their daughter and probably never seeing her again is an unfathomably heartbreaking undercurrent. I need Time Daddy and Epistolary Mommy reunited—and quickly. #bloodofmyblood

I am so deeply invested in Henry & Julia. Way more than I, even as a huge Claire fan, anticipated I would be. Time Daddy and Epistolary Mommy are really doing it for me. I expected to love Julia but I’m not sure if anyone could’ve anticipated Henry having this much depth. #bloodofmyblood
