Claude Code lets PMs fix bugs or build dashboards below the cut line. But is doing unprioritized work true productivity? I suspect no. It’s only meaningful if it generates business results; revenue or usage.

As a PM, there’s a risk of AI side quests distracting from doubling down on the main one.

Just like cars, the real money is in the maintenance & servicing contract!

What happened at Block will likely happen everywhere else - companies now find themselves with an overstock of talent, and they are not structurally ready to absorb additional capacity.

People will achieve more with less - but this also opens the doors to building entire new businesses.

Big Corp Anti Pattern: Person loaned from team Y to team F, but now team Y needs something, so they get a loaner from Team J on to Team Y.

No-one works anywhere on anything with any ownership of anything.

It's a real paradox. Everyone always wants more resources, but then when they get them they realize that everything comes at a cost. I don't see a great solution for having enormous firms being tremendously productive, so the only logical maneuver is for them to contract.

Super hyped by people who think it’s amazing, because they’re true experts (they are), many powerful capabilities.

But also annoying and cultish.

Season eight of Netflix’s β€˜Drive to Survive’ to be shown on Apple TV in the U.S. In October, Apple TV agreed a deal to become Formula One's exclusive U.S. broadcaster.

In a shocking move, Apple and Netflix announced a new F1 collaboration, involving Drive to Survive and live race weekend coverage.

Here's more details on the announcement: www.nytimes.com/athletic/707...

Butter on toast is a classic combo; what is better and underused, however, is mayo on bread. This gets you 95% of the way toward a Japanese egg sando, with greater clarity of vision. Open a shop that just does this and I’ll gladly patronize (you will close within 3 months). Mayo, the Better Butter.

Docomments – Comment & Annotate Your Documents Add comments and annotations to your documents with Docomments for Mac. Simple, intuitive, and powerful.

Introducing my first macOS app: Docommentsβ€”A delightful way to add notes to your files πŸ“

Recently, I’ve felt the need to add short comments to files as a kind of change log. So I built my own app! If it fits your workflow, why not give it a try?πŸ‘‡

What happens if i annotate a file on say Dropbox - where does the comment go?

(I love this idea)

I keep saying everything in AI is bi-modal extremes.
Works? Everybody is fucked (Because no jobs, no money)
Doesn't Deliver to it's high expectations? Everybody is fucked (Because no money, no jobs)

I suppose in both cases the after is also extreme:
Works? Star Trek
Doesn't deliver? Models Useful.

the first time I’d ever seen a shovel? For. Sure. Just like when i recently learned about the hugely long hedge trimmers with the 90deg twist at the end. β€œwhat’s the catch?” (it’s heavy, unwieldy, doesn’t really have the force to cut the branches at the top… still useful!).

There’s *always* a catch

I moved my speakers up to be at ear level not on the desk pointing roughly at me. So much better enjoyment of music. Would recommend. (they’re mounted to the monitor arms with a weird contraption, and I screwed the speakers to the contraptions)

Did something break safari performance in macOS 26.3? between ChatGPT.com lagging on typing (like, hanging for ~500ms), and now racefans.net hanging for 250ms on scrolls, it feels like something is broken.

They’re still next-token predictors. But what are we? With so many tokens that came before the current token, and so many possibilities that come after, it’s the job of the harness, the system prompts, the post-training, et al in concert with the human to weave that into something useful. Something valuable.
