So, I did a thing. I just bought a 36 acre farm, with a pond and a little lake for my 64th birthday present. No plans for how I’ll use it. I just need space… lots of space to wander each day.

My husband is turning 70 this year and is certain that I’ve lost my mind.🤣

Since my retirement, the days can blend together and not feel as fulfilling. I’m working on being a bit more purposeful while really enjoying being retired.

I have one in my basement (very dusty)… Thank you for reminding me! I loved it and this is a good time to bring it back into use (it’s cold here so a bit less fun being outside)

I’m aiming at a few a day. Each time I succeed at all 10, I’m going to do something towards and end of the year celebration (l’m dreaming of a trip to Italy and Greece so maybe…)

I got up early my whole career and can’t sleep in even after retirement. I’m working on trying to sleep in without much success. 😩

My night owl husband prefers your take and defines “get up early” as anytime before noon (retired so his bedtime is typically 2:am ish). I’m up early and love to savor my coffee and just enjoy the peaceful quiet mornings. Perfect balance…

Yesterday, one hour walk. Got my exercise in sunshine. complimented my neighbor on an awesome orange felted wool cap she made (laughs and smiles all around). made plans for doing some pontooning on the lake this next summer. got some tasty homemade caramel in return for taking her bin to the curb.

👏Resistant non consumerism. I am actively reducing my spending. I recycle, up cycle and reuse and I only buy locally within my community. The billionaires have received enough of my money…

My husband is a night owl (retired so 2:am ish). He said the same thing. His “get up early” is any time before noon😂
