Fitting that in Americaโ€™s final form, the epicenter of evil will be a private golf resort for wealthy pedophiles.

To any Democrat who ever said about any issue, "Maybe if we agree with Republicans just this far, they'll stop there," remember that you were wrong, it was obvious at the time, and you really should never believe that again about any issue, ever.

The science doesnโ€™t seem so settled after all, and itโ€™s important to understand what happened here. The approach of left-of-center Americans and our institutions โ€” to assume that when a scientific organization releases a โ€œpolicy statementโ€ on a hot-button issue, that the policy statement must be accurate โ€” is a deeply naรฏve understanding of science, human nature and politics, and how they intersect.

At a time when more and more Americans are turning away from expert authority in favor of YouTube quacks and their ilk โ€” and when our own government is pushing scientifically baseless policies on childhood vaccination and climate change โ€” itโ€™s vital that the organizations that represent mainstream science be open, honest and transparent about politically charged issues. If they arenโ€™t, thereโ€™s simply no good reason to trust them.

This is anti-vaxx logic. It is not "naive" to accept the conclusions of experts in technical fields.

They had begun to consider the Government of the United States as a mere appendage to their own affairs. We know now that Government by organized money is just as dangerous as Government by organized mob.
Never before in all our history have these forces been so united against one candidate as they stand today. They are unanimous in their hate for meโ€” and I welcome their hatred.

Something I think about often is, if a Democrat said this today, it would've been a hot mic moment and they'd have to apologize and say it was out of context. FDR said it at Madison Square Garden, 3 days before a presidential election

Two things are true:

1. ICE cannot be reformed.
2. We donโ€™t need armed ICE officers anyway.

So nuke the entire agency altogether.

If someone legitimately dangerous needs to be removed, that task can be delegated to another Fed agency or local cops.

Former ICE instructor will testify as whistleblower that agents taught to violate Fourth Amendment The instructor, who is an attorney, plans to tell a forum sponsored by Congressional Democrats that the procedures in entering homes are not taught appropriately.

A former ICE instructor is expected to testify that new agents are trained to run roughshod over constitutional rights, including the right against a home invasion, and that the federal agency is โ€œbroken."

hey did you know that twitter was never "the global town square?" it was never one of the biggest or coolest social media sites, it was just where journos and other wordcels and some celebs hung out so it became fodder for lazy news sites writing up stories based on some guy tweeting something
