The answer, as it has always been, is taste. Hollywood isn’t always right but it does a good job by and large of culling really shitty ideas. It’s right on the edge if Mumbai or San Juan is further south I think, but this buys me variety.

This genuinely reeks of desperation. If these products were flying off the shelves (so to speak) they’d be charging the universities to use them instead of giving it away for free.

Also, just for some positive affirmations alongside advice - don’t be too down on yourself for goblin-y photos. You might have some recency bias. I look back at old photos I hated because of awkwardness and genuinely think I look kinda cool these days. I think it’s easy to overthink in the moment.

It’s definitely a skill that can be learned. Tons of videos on YouTube or you can use a mirror and practice posing. I’ve also heard of folks filming themselves as they try out things as it occurs to them throughout the day.
