I totally agree. The only thing that could help soften the blow would be if JLP became the host of American Survivor, given the rumours about Jeff retiring after 50.

I was crushed when JLP was fired from Australian Survivor, so to hear he's being replaced by one of my least favourite players is an even bigger disappointment. Not sure if I'll watch the next season or not.

Whatever topics you're looking for in YA, there's a good chance they're actually being published. They're just being done by marginalized authors and you're not reading them. But the fewer people who read and promote those books, the less likely we are to see them again. Read more widely!

So go ahead and check out that book even if you don't think you'll finish it. No one will know. Check out that DVD even though you might not like it. Get ambitious in your quest for knowledge.

Shoutout to @shvetathakrar.com, who reminded me I'm worth the time and effort required for self-care, even when (or maybe *especially* when) my depression and the state of the world tell me otherwise. I went for a five mile run and did a light weight workout today and I'm so grateful I did.

It’s an expensive hobby that I indulge in sparingly, but I’ve started to make a concerted effort to collect my favourite media on vinyl, Blu-ray, etc because I can’t trust that I will always have access to it otherwise. The physical aspect it’s important, but scarcity and censorship worry me most.
