What is making me extra upset about this situation is that the city will get less from the open market than what the urban farm has to pay to get the land. It's just obstreperousness (and hating on ward 9) as mayoral policy.

I'd say cruelty has unintended consequences, but I don't think this is unintended. By using homeless people as pawns like this, he forces people to see them which makes it easier for him to scare-monger in an election year.

My brother died of an overdose over 15 years ago. While this wouldn't have helped in his situation, this will save the lives of others. I'm proud of whatever steps we as a city can take to help prevent the pain that my family went through.

I haven't seen the ads. I live an oddly (video) ad-free life, 95% of my video media is on youtube and we've got a family premium plan.

I mostly see Fateh signs in my area. The occasional Frey sign, but mostly on places like slumlord buildings.

Just telling people "Don't Rank Frey", if they remember anything besides Frey's name, will result in people not filling all 3 choices.

Offhand, I can't remember a single junta that's handed power back over afterwards. Oh there might be elections but, funny thing, the military tends to get whoever they want elected. Once the 'military taking over the civilian government' genie is out of the bottle, it doesn't quietly go back in.

I really can't get over the people calling for a military coup. Like... do they genuinely think the kind of general who would organize a coup would just hand power over after committing treason? Historically, coups end really badly for everyone but the junta.

I guess if they're dead they're not technically homeless anymore?

Yeah. When this was going to be a temporary arrangement, having the roommate share space with Youngest was fine. But now that it's become pretty open-ended that needs to change.
