Carney badly misjudged the Canadian people's rejection of the US war in Iran. He's trying to walk it back now, but I think it's too late. Just mealymouthed gesturing at international law ("But I'm no lawyer"). It's weak and unprincipled. And in any case, I think he is in favour of the war.

Grown-ass men who have moved up through military ranks now talking about waging a holy war against Muslims so the white brainless in the west can get raptured is really something.

Maybe Jesus doesn't want to come back to this mess.

This sophistry of supporting an illegal war and then going on television and giving the impression you care about international law. He is no longer making any sense. Please tell me Canadians are not this stupid?

All accounts point to not just Trump but the entire administration doing exactly zero planning for the Iran operation. Like, he just woke up one morning and decided to bomb Iran.

A lesson for Carney fans is to never tie your identity as a self-perceived moral person to a politician. You'll end up going down a road that has you rationalizing the very things you purport to oppose -- like war, climate destruction, human rights abuses, and gutting of public services.

This statement by Marco Rubio is a thing of beauty. No notes. It can be taken exactly as is and dropped into Orwell's 1984. I believe the correct Homeric adjective for military reasoning like this is "Hell-kissed."

The threat to US forces was literally Israel.

And, yet, Canadian PM Carney dutifully called Iran the cause of all problems in the Middle East.
