Plans for €3bn data centre in Co Kildare are stalled after joint appeal Plans for a €3bn “next generation” data centre campus in Co Kildare have been stalled following appeals by environmentalists against the decision by Kildare County Council to green-light the project.

1/ Friends of the Earth and Friends of the Irish Environment have launched an appeal against the decision to grant planning permission for a major new data centre in Naas.

Bowls of salad, fruit, pastries, freshly made soup & a giant box of bread were leftover from an event in work. The staff have already taken what they can. 3 years ago, this would have all ended up in the bin but now, I'm patiently awaiting people from #Olio to collect it all!

I delivered the 700 page business case and cost benefit analysis for MetroLink to Michael O'Leary's office yesterday.

O'Leary said on RTÉ Radio that there’s been no cost-benefit analysis done on Metrolink which was then repeated on multiple news outlets.

Petition your school/workplace to reduce the amount of mown grass. Create a tiny pond. Do no mow may. Boycott all pesticides. Let the dandelions grow between the cracks to feed some pollinators a while before you pull them. If you see a hairy Molly, tell them I say hello and hope to see one soon 🖤

...and I see bumble bees crawl in and out of the warm mound between garden dandelion feasts. They're showing me action DOES matter and it fuels my cup to keep going for the more overwhelming causes.

The most rewarding climate action I've found is helping biodiversity. With ongoing g3n0cide and human rights being stripped away from our trans community & beyond, it can feel hopeless. When I think my actions don't matter, I look to the pile of dead leaves I've left in the corner...
