Fascism is not kind to the sick and weary. They don't like the disabled. These folks are considered a liability to fascists. Fascists cannot view the positive aspects folks like this offer to society or honor the past contributions these folks may have offered.

The problem is, we are very quickly at the stage where mass protests, the withholding of labor on a mass scale, a strike on extraneous purchases, a movement to impeach Trump, etc. need to take place. Heck, we are almost moving BEYOND that point to a need for military intervention.

, and Presidency. And the Democratic Party is polling at historic lows. We are NOT winning, and pointing out discrepancies concerning Trump is not going to help. We have to do better....MUCH BETTER!

Our institutions are being torn down around us so now is not the time to misunderstand what Trump is doing so we can pretend to have a victory. I can understand some coping mechanisms being used to survive, but that can lead to apathy. Make no mistake, MAGA controls the Senate, House, Supreme Court

I love BlueSky but I hope this doesn't become a "victory" echo chamber. Trump threatened to implement tariffs on Canada and Mexico and they "caved" and agreed to concessions that Biden had agreed to. The problem is Trump's base doesn't know that and sees this as a victory which WAS THE POINT!

04.02.2025 14:08 — 👍 0    🔁 0    💬 1    📌 0

Actually, it doesn't matter that this stuff was already agreed to. Trump's base will absolutely believe that Trump was responsible for these wins. And Trump knows this. This was all a performance.

We are all trying to keep up with incompetence on all levels. It’s epic.

This is coming from the perspective of a President who is concerned about poll numbers, etc. Trump is consolidating power to become a dictator. I don't see a "death" to this Presidency. This is a revenge tour because Trump was rejected by American allies and by the American people.

Trump and the GOP saw Putin-style government where oligarchs run the country and steal the wealth and decided that was a good idea. This is the result of that. We will be isolated and subservient to lawless, sociopathic billionaires.

Not tried. He's still trying.

Things are different this time. This is not 2016. Trump is staging a coup. The only thing I can see that would fight this is for Americans to withhold labor. Without our labor, no profits will be made.

Right now Elon Musk and his team have taken over key computers and lacked government employees out of their own computers. We are in the middle of a coup and the NYT is acting like its just another Tuesday.

This is what a coup looks like. Essentially our own government won't have access to...well..the government and Elon's henchmen will.

What's the stop them from uploading all of this information to Putin's espionage network or saving it on remote computers offsite for future reference?

I am genuinely scared for the function of our government in the future. Elon Musk and his aids have locked government employees out of access to their computers and taken control of these computers. Our government no longer has access to the government. This is a coup!

Nice! Maybe he can help down more commercial airliners full of children!!

That’s a little vague, don’t you think? And by a little, I mean a lot.

All the time you spend tryin to get back what's been took from you there's more goin out the door. After a while you just try and get a tourniquet on it

We went 5280 days before a commercial plane crashed in the U.S. Trump fires FAA director, freezes air traffic controller hiring, disbands aviation safety committee, sends package offer to existing air traffic controllers and within 9 days of his inauguration we have a plane crash. It isn't hard!

Considering he basically caused this crash by firing key members of the FAA, he's a complete incompetent sociopath. He know's he's not qualified to be President, he just doesn't care.

Wait a minute. Trump didn't send out a letter 7 days prior to all airline controllers with a severance package? He didn't eliminate a key aviation security advisory group? He didn't fire the head of the TSA? Thomas Schaller didn't predict this would happen hours prior to it taking place?

31.01.2025 03:20 — 👍 2    🔁 1    💬 0    📌 0

Yeah I'm sure the fact that 5830 days passed since the last commercial airline crash took place days after Trump gutted the FAA AND the NYT article indicating that resulted in one air traffic controller doing the job of two at the site and time of the crash has noting to do with Trump.

31.01.2025 03:04 — 👍 2    🔁 1    💬 1    📌 0

Two planes collided and one controller was doing the job of two controllers at the time. I wouldn't blame the chili the pilots ate the night before, that's for sure.

It only makes it worse that Trump is DIRECTLY responsible for the crash that took place. So yeah Trump, we want you to go swimming and don't get out of the water until you've recovered all of the debris for the plane crash you caused!

No, they mean the FAA Director who was ALSO fired in ADDITION to the TSA Director. We know it's hard to keep track of the incompetence so glad I could help. Trump also fired 3,000 FAA personnel the day before the crash.

No commercial airliner has crashed in the U.S. since 2009. Trump fires 3,000 FAA personnel the day before this crash. Why would it be mentally unhealthy to be upset about people dying because of Trump's incompetence? That seems pretty normal. In fact, why would you not be upset about this crash?
