So happy to see that my copy of THE MARIO BAVA COLLECTION has arrived from @screamfactory.bsky.social !! It’s such an honor to be included in this gorgeous box. I hope some of you enjoy it.

I sensed some old school exploitation cheese in THE PURGE films, and James DeMonaco really lets that freak flag fly with THE HOME. There’s almost as much eye trauma as a Fulci film in this thing. My entire audience verbally bonded at the end over finding it ridiculous. Hell yeah.

So based on how some recent high profile movies have been run, it seems that studios are adopting this basic schedule for film screenings:

Influencers/junketeers: ~2-3 weeks before release

Critics/journalists: ~2-3 days before release

Oh my goodness.

Too early to tell about the plot of #AvatarFireAndAsh, (seems operatic, tho!) but my goodness is this series visually resplendent. I am astonished at how photorealistic these characters are. The colors, the creatures…I can’t wait to travel to Pandora again.

Why The Odyssey Ticket Presales Set A Horrific Precedent For Appointment Cinema - SlashFilm The fact that tickets went on sale a year in advance for The Odyssey is...not great for the future of appointment cinema.

I'm one of the biggest fans of Christopher Nolan there is. I adore and revere the true IMAX experience. I want Nolan -- and Hollywood -- to keep utilizing the format. I do not want ticket sales to go the way they went earlier this week.
