I think for the most part it's to combat nostalgia of previous states of the game that can fuel the current criticism at times. Magic is a great game, but, it did/does have its awkward moments to say at the least.

That is a fair rebuttal. Like I said, there are legit concerns and complaints but the slop rhetoric gets old pretty quick.

Hell, we have a book in physical form next year, a book that's legit important to support and buy to reinforce the Magic IP and wouldbe even without UB, but I've literally seen people against UB say that it doesn't matter.

Sometimes it feels like they don't even love the IP they clamor for so much.

Also, with 4 of those sets being premium price with being UB....and know the upcoming economy concerns (Recession, student loans, job loss, ext,), I do feel this is probably not the best time to do this. Granted, these sets are developed months/years and advance and they couldn't seen this coming.

Yes that is including the Spider-Man which...yeah, while not a amazing set....I can still see the team trying there best to make something to bring fans joy even though the set has problems. I legit can't call it slop...sorry. Slop should be saved for the AI generative crap tbh.

Also, I will say I am a little concern of seven sets next year especially for players in standard to keep up. That a legit concern. However, saying that UB sets are low quality/slop when you can tell the heart the team put into making these to bring joy? I am sorry, I just can't fly with that.

Look, as a vorthos, I would be lying if I didn't say I am a little annoyed of more UB sets then UW sets next year but I am hoping at the very least the split can give them more time for the UW stories to shine and be read. That my legit hope. Also the fact were getting a novel is sweet.

To be more blunt, it's more fun to see the joy and discovery of seeing stuff/facts/info I did not know about a property that brings either returning players or new players joy then hearing the 10000th "I think this is slop" post.

While there are legit concern/complaints the community can have with Universe Beyond, I be honest, if you primary shtick with it is just rehashing the slop rhetoric and just trying to rain on others people joy....I am just going to ignore you to be blunt.
