If you look at the box score and see 4 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists, 2 blocks and 2 steals at halftime, please understand it is significantly understating her impact today.

She absolutely stifled the Ohio State Buckeyes in the first 20 minutes.

Her ability to switch onto high level guards on defense, move the basketball on offense, and her perpetual effort on both side of the floor (even when she doesn't get touches) are all HIGHLY translatable to the pro game. 2/2

WNBA scouts better be paying attention to what Lauren Betts is doing in this Big Ten tournament. This isn't just some plotting big who protects the rim. 1/2

She has Jaloni Cambridge completely out of sorts. Beyond that it's blocks, switching onto guards, forcing turnovers with her mere presence and activity, diving on the floor, and grabbing boards/quickly outlet passing. Her impact goes wayyyy beyond the box score. 2/2

Ava Heiden is as good as advertised. Her touch around the basket is remarkable. But what sets her apart IMO is how quickly she gets to her moves. She wastes zero time moving to the hoop when she receives post entries.

Major update in the B1G WBB tournament. After a stellar steal and assist, Ohio State's Kennedy Cambridge dove to save a loose ball on a separate play and fell right into a camera courtside.
