Food insecurity affects communities in every part of Colorado. Giving what we can, whether it is food, time, or resources, makes a real difference for families across our state. Find your nearest food bank here: feedingcolorado.org/find-food/

This picture is from a special event in support of my campaign for Attorney General. For years, we have worked together to reduce gun violence in our communities. With the help of this amazing group, I am excited for the campaign and to become the next Attorney General.

We cannot let our justice system fall victim to public corruption and cronyism. Tina Peters should serve her sentence and face the consequences for her deliberate actions.

We need to do more to protect kids on social media. Grateful to Attorney General Phil Weiser for joining me for this meaningful town hall on the risks facing kids through social media and AI chatbots.

Throwback Thursday to when I was a student at Cornell University. I did not know it then, but those years would lead me toward a career focused on public safety, fairness, and service to our communities.

Honored to have the support of Council Member Mark Wallach. I’ve valued the work we’ve done together to protect public safety in Boulder, and his endorsement underscores the importance of standing with victims, confronting hate-motivated violence, and following the law wherever it leads.

Thank you to Rabbi Kolby Morris-Dahary and everyone at STAND for hosting this important community convening on rising antisemitism, hate symbols, and their impact. I appreciate being a part of this conversation. Hate crimes harm not only individual victims but their entire community.

In recognition of National Restorative Justice Week, I want Coloradans to know I will continue that work statewide. Restorative justice plays a meaningful role in healing harm, supporting victims, and improving outcomes for our communities.

I am honored to serve as tonight’s keynote speaker at the STAND event, where I will address the rise in antisemitism and other acts of hate. As Colorado’s next Attorney General, I will continue to confront hate in all its forms and make sure every community is protected.

🚨The Trump Administration is trying to move convicted felon Tina Peters from State Prison to a federal facility. Michael breaks down why this matters, and who really prosecuted Tina Peters.

Grateful for the chance to sit down together and talk about the stakes in our justice system. ICE now receives more federal funding than any other federal law enforcement agency, and much of it goes to private, for-profit prisons. Private prisons should be outlawed entirely

For nearly three decades, my work has been in the courtroom and in public service, leading reforms, protecting victims, and strengthening the integrity of our justice system. These programs did not come from theory. They came from my experience.

Today, on Veterans Day, we thank and honor all those who have served this great country. My Uncle and Godfather, Vincent J. Dougherty, was an Army veteran who served during the Cuban Missile Crisis and Vietnam War era.

We lost him last year; may he Rest In Peace.

Today, I had the honor of joining domestic violence advocates and a bipartisan group of state legislators to strengthen Colorado’s response to domestic violence. In Boulder County, we had launched a Domestic Violence Team and Lethality Assessment Protocol that can help victims across the state.

This Halloween, I’m trading in the courtroom for the galaxy. Before I go fight the Empire, I just want to wish everyone a safe and happy Halloween. Be safe, keep an eye on your young Padawans, drive sober, and may the Force be with you.

Colorado's public lands at risk from politics and profiteering.

Colorado's public lands at risk from politics and profiteering.

The federal government is rolling back the protections of our natural resources and seeking to sell off millions of acres of our public lands. Selling off public lands for profit is the fast lane to long-term losses for CO. You can read the whole article here: www.gjsentinel.com/opinion/colu...
