The end of season finale left Yeongwoon and Seo-In emotionally wounded. This makes Season 3 feel even more crucial, as both of them will have to reveal their cards and confront their past together to fully heal and have a chance to live happily.

By avoiding this cliché route, common in many storylines, Gangddo chose a more painfully impactful option: damage through words. This emotional harm is also shown through the strong red/burgundy tones in the scenes, which already signal that the chapter is tied to pain and danger.

Yeongwoon’s state was later reinterpreted or changed by Gangddo (probably) compared to Ch.1. (It’s just my interpretation)

The only positive thing in this chapter is that Yeongwoon remained physically unharmed.

Initially, it was implied that everything would have been fine between them if Yeongwoon hadn’t been “selfish” (greedy). However, in Ch.65 the same idea is emphasized, with the difference that Seo-In wouldn’t be in the state he is in now. From this, it can be concluded that the cause of…

It‘s also striking how different the vibe is between Ch.1 and the end of S2. In Ch.1, Yeongwoon appeared mainly depressed, desperate and lost, while in Ch.65 he seems mentally unstable, emotionally empty and completely broken. This change is also reflected in Yeongwoon’s monologue.

His plan was probably for Yeongwoon to be abused by Seo-In’s ex hook-up friends, for Seo-In to show up & then get blamed for everything. From this perspective, it seems plausible that the journalist works for Taegu & followed Yeongwoon to the bar, which would explain why the latter showed up later.

which will likely make Seo-In believe that Yeongwoon never truly revealed his feelings (as hinted in Ch.63).

I also think Seo-In showing up there wasn’t just a coincidence, but rather connected to Wonshik.

The tragic part is that Yeongwoon finally expresses his true feelings and does it to the person he blames for the beginning of his suffering. It becomes even more painful, because he confuses Jaewon with Seo-In,..

It’s also noticeable that Seo-In was barely present in the last chapter. So Gangddo’s decision to show him as a hallucination in the season finale was very clever, as it compensated for his previous absence narratively but also added a surprising plot twist.

His inner thoughts also show that he was in a really bad mental state, even though he kept trying to convince Seo-In that he was fine. This shows that neither of them could have continued living in a seemingly happy reality, because that fragile balance would have collapsed sooner or later.

after blackmailing him and became nothing but pathetic. Therefore, his actions are worse than what Taegu did to Yeongwoon, because Hae-yool deliberately took advantage of Yeongwoon in a drugged and disoriented state.

Hae-yool has always been a nasty opportunistic character who could never accept a “no”. While he still seemed pitiable in the S1 because he was desperately in love with Yeongwoon, he completely lost any moral justification 1/15

If next week is really the finale of S2, then it‘ll reach the climax and finally bring the story back to the present.

that Yeongwoon manages to defend himself or escape with the help of the journalist that follows him (most likely on Taegu’s/Seo-In’s behalf). My guess: The shirt he was wearing in Ch. 1 is either borrowed from one of the waiters there or taken from one of those jerks.

I really hope there is a special place in hell waiting for him. Using him to get revenge on Seo-In, while also taking out his jealousy because of Hae-yool shows what a pathetic cowardly loser he is. I truly hope they won’t be able to go all the way and..
