It's here a scribe records the words that presided over the spark of the Kasson Riots that killed hundreds, rich and poor. Kasson never properly recovered from the brutal massacre that took place on that night.

He takes a quick liking to the draekin's stoic aloofness and decides to sporadically mentor him should their paths cross again.

Eventually, a riot breaks out on the streets of Kasson, the capital of Gargoyle. The Hashaans try to calm the crowds, but are drowned out, regrouping at Iyolo's hideaway.

Iyolo meets a young draekin Hashaan one fateful day.

Aetheris of Blackwater is separated from his second when he stumbles upon the Bard sipping on rotten waste lovingly called "swill" in a back alley tavern of Gargoyle.

Iyolo is casually leading a group of rogues in a joyous tale of debauchery.

It was well received. His best selling work to date.

And he despises it.

In the twilight of his life, his cynicism has choked every inch of his work. His most recent novel, "Of Lem who Bleed", follows the story of a half-breed born in Solisara who governs a small province until his secret is exposed and his own people, who he nurtured and loved like family, hang him.

In his sixty years of life, the Weaver of Tales has communed with peasant and price alike. No royalty across Terras is unfamiliar with the Man with Silver Breath.

He even helped birth the Thaen of Tol-Drago, a small county in Aeternia, and cousin to the Crown, who is a good friend to this day.

His most recent play "A Lark in the Grand Halls of Heiropylai" has won him many accolades from Heiropylains for its respectful depictions of their culture. And earned him much more ire from audiences in his native Celeste, who crave the exaggerated stimuli of the modern age.

In short, "too boring".

Iyolo Dorian IV is a bard of many names.

He's written and recorded volume after volume of encyclopedias that document the many fascinating wonders of Nauhoth.

Being well-traveled and a man with thousands of connections, he's well respected and well hated equally.

Val'orthael. Ath'Krudor. Heiligand. Syth'iriza. D'orthaenia. Tol-Imperia.

Now, many more fear an upheaval, a calculated follow-up to usurp the nations currently threatened by power plays made by ambitious yet spiteful men.

Only time will tell.

They waged a decade-long fight against the Bellatori that stained the flowery hills of Aeternia black as midnight.

Thousands of Lem and Lyn gave their lives to take back Aeternia, under the banner of both Devinas and their integrated pantheons.

The first Cleansing was a tough, bloody victory.

Aeternia was crippled, a low blow after a century-long high from their win in the First Baldarian War (2A 06-23). Their first capital, Tol-Abstancia, was sacked entirely.

With the combined might of the armies of Val'ythis, Ael'athsyn, Durak’tin, Herra, Red Mirae, and D'ortheirma they marched.

The last time a Cleansing happened, Devinastry was named *the* religion of Terras. All nations (excluding Solisara) consolidated belief under the banner of Goddess Devinas.

In 2nd Aeon 122, Bellatori struck at the heart of Aeternia shortly after the Formation of the Official Church.

Many strongholds have suffered raids and disease at the hands of Bellatori, who strangely pillage entire storerooms in addition to senseless slaughter.

Conspiracies suggest that Bellatori are rapidly evolving and stocking up for an inevitable great war known as a Cleansing.

Herra suffered the hardest, with their royal guard, the Armgantz, effectively becoming the nation's emergency response.

Native Herrans are particularly affected as a large majority are reclusive and rehabilitated lycanthropes who live in tight-knit monastery cities.

At the tail end of the 4th Aeon, large swaths of the northern ridge, the Aetheria Façade, were plagued by pockets of Decay that cropped up in major metropolitan and sizable rural townships.

These Phthisis Plagues caused massive damage to Val'ythis, Durak’tin, Herra, and the Red Mirae.

Since the time of Ophella, there have been rumors of a creature, a draegon with opal scales, circling the peak of one of Aeternia's tallest mountains, Hel-Ferrous Peak.

What this means for a people on the brink of war has certainly plagued Noctellum I, going so far as to send a full-time watch.

In modern Nauhoth, the D'aetheyleid legend is told in hushed whispers, as an ill omen for any nation unlucky enough to foster this creature.

The most recent sighting was in the 1st Aeon when Ophella struck down the D'aetheyleid in Durak'tin and claimed the title and ascended as Devinas's prophet.

The Battle of Tear-Opal, the ceremonial name of said skirmish, was crucially pinched out of the draegons' claws, as the appearance of one of their own changed something within them. Almost as if they were frightened by its existence, a complete unknown to them.

Its reflective wings burned strips of sunlight across the ravaged battlefield during a significant battle of the Second Rebellion in ancient times.

Sources claim its roar echoed like "legions-worth of sacred crystals shattering all at once, for an eternity in the matter of a second."

It roughly translates to "Pearl Omen" in Avhelyne. Conversely, in Draekonic it alludes to "The Traitor Omen who Stripped its People of [...] Sanity."

The Aetherians' language is theatric in nature.

D'aetheyleid (day-they-laid) is a bastardized word of Lyn and Aetherian with a wide range of meanings and translations.

To many, D'aetheyleid was an ancient Draegon with Pearl or Opalescent scales that once seemed indestructible. It was first sighted over the historic fort Kairn-Mortaol long ago.

A tenuous air of uncertainty lingers along the borders of Aeternia and Ael'athsyn, with High King Ashtur "Noctellum I" Demioren threatening a push into Lyn territory and breaking Terras into a great war, one he intends to deliver on once his campaign in Solisara "reunites the true Lem."

Arcana has come under scrutiny in recent years by traditionalist Lem in the east, with notable supporters courting the High King of Aeternia and his congression.

Mageripper cults have found political legitimacy in Fœrngïr and Chaidh-en-Crìoch, and have forged a worrying alliance with Aeternia.

The arts are separated into the alignments of Black and White. Black Arcana are classified by their offensive capabilities, while White Arcana is denoted by its utility.

There are a variety of Arcana schools including but not limited to:
Primal
Lightning
Meditation
Gravitan
Curation
Paradolium

Arcanic bleed causes the power and scale of Arcana to grow exponentially, giving many scholars pause as the potential for a new Fracture grows with each passing century.

It's theorized that when the Aetherians broke the mortal boundaries, the membrane fundamentally changed and can't be repaired.
