12.08.2025 21:38 β π 32 π 14 π¬ 3 π 0new handle on here. I wanted to get on a dot com because Iβm moving off Bskyβs PDS at the earliest opportunity and this would make it easier.
Might change it back to foxkidsclub once I renew that dot com domain. Weβll see.
For some newcomers to this feed, I have a Quora page.
This is where I answer some of the strangest pop media questions from the weirdest folks. I only answer a few of them because some want me to write their fanfics for them. I won't do that.
Nearly 3K answers.

So damn clean and vivid. You can feel some energy here.
I dig it.
Gotta hit up Dynamite for that one.
They have the non-DC WB brands on lock for a while.
And yes.
Yes, I want this too.
So, so badly.
You don't even know.
HBO Family never goes away in my world...

I'm just saying a show should be given a chance to succeed or fail on its own and not just be a placeholder for something more mainstream.
It's like trading out Sky High for My Hero Academia or The Incredibles for The Fantastic Four or The Black Hole for Star Wars.
It totally is a diss.
It's disrespectful to the cast and crew, and it's disrespectful to the audiences, ESPECIALLY if they're literally doing MMPR all over again with a dino motif.
Armorsaurs doesn't need to be a "warm-up act."
Let the show stand on its own and give it a chance to be a hit.
Perhaps.
But it does seem unfair to the folks behind Armorsaurs to only be seen as a test run for them airing a more recognizable brand instead of letting the new series stand on its own.
Kind of makes them feel like they're doomed to fail even before it airs, and that's not right.
And remind the folks the role Stephanie Courtney is probably best known for):

It's just wild how Japan's influence in the West is getting superseded by South Korea.
K-Pop eclipsed J-Pop big time. Webtoons are nipping on manga's heels. A Korean toku is being adapted for the West.
When Korea gets Demon Slayer/One Piece/MHA/DBZ-sized animated hits, Japan needs to step up.
Either that or Marvel and Star Wars fatigue has finally set in there.
07.10.2025 18:29 β π 2 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0I can see Ken Jeong as a great heel manager, going under the moniker "The Doctor of Wrestling" and go the Bobby "The Brain" Heenan route assembling lunks, bruisers, and exotic wrestlers and probably have a female bodyguard to boot.
07.10.2025 18:26 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0That's weird, especially since it was so prominent on the Jetix block on both Toon Disney and ABC Family.

As I said, it BARELY passed the sniff test from Toei. Otherwise, the producers of this show as well as the owners of the Korean show this is based on would have been sued into oblivion.
Disney was probably guilted into co-producing a new PR series just to get this one on the air.
Why does Disney need Power Rangers again?
Also, once again, international companies like CAKE (who produced this Westernized adaptation) are looking at South Korea and Japan like Andy looked at Buzz Lightyear and Woody.
And Japan is experiencing Woody's nightmare.

So... wait.
Disney XD is airing a new toku series? Apparently, they are. A show called Armorsaurs that's based on a Korean toku series called Armored Saurus that JUST barely passes the sniff test from Toei.
Also... there's still a Disney XD?

Not only would you get something that fills an E/I quota, but you also have something that brings families together and could be another venue to showcase the DIsney brand in primetime.
Disney knows how to make shows like this because they DO make shows like this right now.
Win-win.
Hearst.
They're Hearst now and have been for about a decade.
And yeah, it's a bogus mandate that networks have found a work-around plan.
Instead, Disney and other media companies who could produce their own original programming to fulfill their E/I quota don't and just went the easy, cheap route and let one producer largely dominate and program Saturday morning lineups everywhere.
Why? So they could focus on cable.
Using ABC for an example, they could have the 7 PM Sunday night slot for, say, National Geographic Explorer every week and some kind of Disney-made science show for an hour on Friday nights at 8 PM E/P. And they could have an hour on Saturday mornings.
That fills the 3-hr E/I mandate easily.
But here's the capper though about E/I laws.
There's literally nothing in the FCC laws that said they HAD to put all E/I programming on Saturday mornings.
Broadcast networks could put on E/I programming any time between 6 AM and 10 PM E/P any day of the week.
Including in primetime.
