One of my favorite TV stunts was the lost hour broadcast TV Land had one year.
Essentially, the two episodes of Dragnet that should have aired in the lost hour aired in the 3 AM slot in the corner while another two episodes of another show was playing on the main screen.
TV used to be fun, kids.
Let's see...
The Petrie House (The Dick Van Dyke Show)
The Jetsons' Skypad Apartment
The Three's Company Apartment
The Drummonds' massive mansion-like apartment (Diff'rent Strokes)
The Brownstone (Living Single [not pictured])
Those are my five.
Whoa, The Moon Cave. Probably the best song off the new album. #snl youtu.be/OUh_hwmS0Xo?...

Yeah, no. You can all go to hell, you bastards.
It's impossible to tell the Selma and Bloody Sunday story if you erase Jimmie Lee Jackson.
It's literally sanitizing the story.
There's also the story of Amelia Boynton. Famously photographed beaten unconscious.
She would reprise her Selma March with President Obama at the age of 109
It would be fun.

Plus, they're still building up their FAST offerings on Pluto TV and on third-party outlets and could easily build up on those channels.
Hell, they own one of the biggest shows streaming on the planet right now:
Gunsmoke.
They could build up a western brand with that and Bonanza as a foundation.
That's the other maddening thing about all of this. I legitimately write out stuff they COULD be doing with just a handful of what they already have access to. It's a lot of potential, not to mention a strong library of films, shows, and properties.
Instead, the Ellison boys are headless chickens.
Dude legitimately looks like an angrier Peter Capaldi-era Doctor.
If that's even possible.
It's maddening. Skydance could have legitimately transformed Paramount into a modern media company, but it just seems like the moment they got it, they pretty much "noped" out of them and focused so hard on WBD.
And they made Paramount look so, so, so weak by comparison.
The Doctor Claw figure from the 1992 Inspector Gadget toyline. An older gentleman with a quaffed cat-like gray hair, weirdly painted eyes, a snarled mouth, and angry eyebrows wearing a black leather jacket and vest and a gray shirt. Basically, imagine Peter Capaldi's take on The Doctor. But angrier.
Sprites of Doctor Claw from the 1993 SNES Inspector Gadget published by Hudson Soft. He is sitting in his throne wearing a black suit. He has quaffed gray hair, bushy angry eyebrows, and a sinister sneer.
Between this and Dr. Claw's reveal when they made the Inspector Gadget action figure line and video game, most mysterious Final Boss Main Villains from the '80s ended up being a disappointment.
Then again, considering what these mediocre-looking modern bad guys look like, they weren't far off.
How do you tell a band of maniacs with enough money to have anyone they dislike quietly killed that they are making idiotic demands that will destroy an industry?

I see.
Still a lot.
Then again, when I saw the first Avatar, it reminded me a bit of FernGully.
But that's just me.
I'm assuming that as well.

The more and more I hear about this terrible, horrible, no-good, very bad merger, the more I feel justified in making this edited version of that one meme with the dude looking at one girl while his girl is literally standing beside him.
Because man, Paramount is looking more like an afterthought.
They do?
Shows you how much I don't watch TV these days, at least outside of MeTV and MeTV Toons.
I read someone called Hoppers "Pixar's Avatar," and looking at the synopsis of the film... yeah.
Yeah.
They're not talking about the Nick version of Avatar either.
To this day, I feel MeTV is a gem in the vast channelscape we live in today, and I think a chunk of that has to do with @svengoolieofficial.bsky.social every Saturday night.
Long may Sven and the House of Svengoolie reign!
Itβs cool how the bench says Simpsons in katakana. Respect to the animators for doing their homework.

Impressive.
The attention to detail and dedication to this craft is surprisingly realistic and matriculated.
Most impressive work.
Begging y'all to follow @karlrolson.com's suggestion, and listen to the track in his post, then watch an ADV trailer. It's such an obvious lift
