To run the model you will need to download the model weights and the tokenizer, details and links are included in the readme.
Once available the model(s) are easy to run and seem to work reasonably well (if somewhat factually challenged at times).

For any #rstats people who might be interested in playing with google's open source gemma model I've spent the last week wrapping it into an R package, available at github.com/rundel/rgemm.... Still very much at the proof of concept stage, but tested and working on macOS and linux.
