Overall hard to give a final score since I'm rank B and haven't seen all the mega forms yet, but so far? The series is heading in a good direction here.

Now stop messing with other monster catching games and use the competition from Palworld and the rest to get better.

The graphics and performance? I'm running the switch 1 version and it's SMOOTH. The frames are stable on my day 1 launch switch, the draw distance isn't a big deal to me personally since the wild zones are kinda their own thing anyway.

Clearly this game had a LOT of love put into it.

I honestly feel like every loss has been my own damn fault. I've lost to pokemon lower level than me because their trainers know what the hell they're doing. Timing with your protect and detect is so important.

Complaints? Minimal. I love exploring Lumiose, if you're gonna stick me in one spot at least make me enjoy it. I do wish there was more terrain to explore but the game definitely isn't going for that.

Every loss is my own fault. Stat buffs run out so you can't just sweep without risking your dude getting tired. It really makes me think.

The moves are finally doing what they say they're doing. Surf makes a giant wave that crushes all other mons, single combat moves do just that, AOEs and obstacles, spacing and gap management is important.

I can't stop playing it, the gameplay is balanced and combines everything I love about action rpgs with the classic Pokemon type chart.

It gives me a more direct connection with my little monsters seeing them run around. Want a move to miss? Use a move to dodge or close a gap.

I am a biased fan but: so far Pokemon Legends ZA is the most fun and impressed I've been by one of these games since the 2D days.
