This flew under the radar, but Trump's DOJ has abandoned its legal assault on the law firms that courageously refused to bend the knee to him.

This should serve as a reminder for the firms that sucked up to Trump: appeasing a tyrant will get you nowhere.

I was just thinking about this very thing when I awoke to the news this am. Are we going to see MAGA moms shedding Erika Kirk tears in joy at the loss of their children in war, finding meaning in their lives that they died for… whatever the hell it is this war is for?

When I brought my fears about this to a decorated Air Force heli pilot (Iraq/Afghanistan) in 2016, she laughed at my fears, saying “Don’t worry, we all swear an oath to uphold the Constitution.” Didn’t believe her then, definitely don’t now.

3/ Attention/celebrity/power/money seem to morph those lacking a strong sense of self. Another thing not surprising as I suspect most of these men were nerds/bullied, and this is their way of payback, unfortunately spewing their vitriol on everyone, vs their bullies. I wish more of us could grow up.

2/ What’s also not surprising is many I know are still friends with & scrambling to explain/cover the creeps’ actions. Tech bros support their own, no matter how far they’ve strayed from their initial breathless ideas of raising up the community/the world.

1/ As I learn about more folks in tech and science in the Epstein files, I’m not surprised. As a woman in tech since ‘88, I experienced the locker room talk out in the world. Called it out. Told I was overreacting/shrill etc….

And “influencers” who tell you they’ve got it all down are FOS. And those who use their children as a click device are evil. Talk about fucking them up in a whole new way. (PS: I’m a parent too, many missteps, but key is taking ownership when you do, and talking through it with your kids.)

2/ Wow. Okay, then. Me, who has launched several fundraisers for friends over the years. Shunted funds to those in need. This energy and response (and lack thereof) brings more despair than anything. Not a whine, just a sad observation. What a world.

1/ I’m having a very difficult time atm, & definitely I’m not alone in this — it’s systemic. I’m supposedly one of the “strong ones.” I recently reached out to a few folks that I’m in dire financial straits, & what I’m getting in return is:, “Oh, that sucks, but I know you’ll figure it out.”
