Ain’t it the truth! We’re ALL awash in trauma, but it’s up to each of us to decide how we process: healing & helping others? Or torturing others to “get back at the world.” This is the true divide I see, not “Red” or “Blue.” As my GenZ daughter wisely says, “It’s not the fucking ‘Trauma Olympics’”

I am deeply feeling for & with you. It’s utterly disheartening & terrifying. Any of us could/do face this daily. Why part of what I’m working/fighting for is community safety nets & rewiring our thinking from how it is now to what we can do, together. Holding you in my thoughts. You are not alone.

Wish I’d kept the “exposé” on rising grocery prices I saw today, but I’m tired. What stuck out though & made me laughcry was that they were interviewing shoppers at an obviously high end luxe store, & the concern was over high prices on foreign wines & cheese. Cue Olivia Soprano: “Oh, poor YOU!”

On the left is a Sony Discman from the ‘90s and a Sony Walkman from the ‘80s that I’ve kept all these years and which still work great.

Well, at this point, given how the techbros are going dystopionazi, I’m glad I kept these little gems around. Had originally done so to chronicle my ‘80s then ‘90s journey. They both still work great. My Gen Z daughter is all over these like a cheap suit, as should we all be, given what’s emerging.

Oh my gosh yes! If it helps, that ‘90s garden was my landlady’s. I’ve had a black thumb. But after 5 years in Taos, w/just container garden that I seeded w/ wildflowers, I have all the sweet pollinators visiting, including bumblebees!!, which I’ve not experienced since being a kid! Gifts of joy ❤️

They love the same pollinator plants hummers do. Back in ‘95, when I was living north of Santa Fe, our flower garden was inundated by them — my first experience — utterly magical! ❤️

I *adore* these sweet beings! Saw my first today! So grateful.

I feel think “back to nature/wellness” folks are enslaved to same false nostalgia vibe that those on the right are under, aka the “Daddy Knows Best/Leave It To Beaver” delusion. Maybe many of us have never been given the space to grieve for what we never had & have the skills to move forward 2/2

I get folks wanting herbal approaches & a closer to nature way of living/raising kids. I do my best to avoid the evil pharma crap. Yet they seem to forget they all were likely vaxxed as kids. They also ignore that we’re awash in climate collapse results, nuke fallout, & unchecked industrial goo. 1/2

The way the sycophants chortle, laugh, and applaud is sickening.

Also, I always trusted her implicitly, as I wished I’d been. Never ransacked her room as other moms did with their daughters. She had teen “moments,” yet recalling mine, I created space for her to share & for me to try not to judge. She’s now a well-adjusted & deeply compassionate 28-year-old fwiw.

OMG. Yes! When my daughter was a babe, I can’t tell you how many times she would be lunged at, people wanting to touch her. She screamed & ran, sensing as a child does, lack of respect of boundaries. I covered her, protected, then told there was something “wrong” w/ her/too shy. Fuck these creeps.

We need to all recognize the system is broken and forge new paths.

I still have about 10 original movie posters in my possession, from when I was an inside sales rep for the distributors, Baker & Taylor. Thinking they must be worth *something* at this point!
