Dear @albomp.bsky.social

You may be the Prime Minister of Australia, but you are NOT ‘Australia’, nor should you presume to speak on behalf of all Australians.

When you say that “Australia” supports the illegal attack on Iran, murdering the Ayatollah, you are purely speaking on behalf of yourself

This really exposes the lie from the Tech Bros that autonomous robot taxis are the only way to reduce traffic fatalities.

Copy of letter sent by a representative of Shell suggesting that ABARE examine what addressing climate change would mean for "Australia's exports of coal and natural gas".

Copy of letter sent by a representative of Shell suggesting that ABARE examine what addressing climate change would mean for "Australia's exports of coal and natural gas".

From these early encounters with BHP Petroleum and Shell, ABARE appeared to adopt the industry-preferred approach to climate change wholesale. Across many hundreds of pages reviewed by @drilledmedia.bsky.social, the agency do not appear to challenge this framing, or approach at any time.

"We want the murder software to murder accurately" isn't the absolution everyone seems to think it is. Anthropic is enacting a huge PR campaign and too many people are helping them

Imo what is happening on x is that the algorithm loves racist and anti semitic content, and the people who are on there marinate in it all day, and the epstein files has offered an excuse for even left identified people to indulge in the trangressive pleasure of public bigotry as a little treat

Did you happen to mention to any of these people while you were taking advantage of their hospitality that you'd already agreed with the President of Israel to support another campaign to obliterate Muslim children?

You kept bloody quiet when Pauline opened her trap again and you’re supporting the bombing if Iran; where schoolgirls have been murdered. We really believe you

The poor quality of the Australian media pack on full display as Penny Wong breezed through her statement on Iran with absolutely no hard, questions or critical analysis.
No analysis of the Israeli /US end game or questions on the claimed destruction of Iranian nuclear capacity

Algorithm denies high level care for Melbourne man with advanced MND Graham Crossan cannot eat, talk or breathe unassisted but he's been denied funding for high-level care due to a new way of assessing aged care funding.

This is utterly unacceptable. These kinds of decisions need human interaction. Melbourne man Graham Crossan has advanced motor neurone disease and cannot eat, talk or breathe unassisted.
He's been denied funding for high-level care due to a new algorithm for assessing #agedcare funding. #auspol

Since October, the Guardian Essential poll has been following the rise in support for One Nation but this month's results might also ring alarm bells for Labor. This is because nearly half of Labor voters said they would be open to voting for One Nation at the next federal election. Political reporter and chief of staff Josh Butler and Essential Media executive director Peter Lewis discuss why One Nation's surge is more than just a 'noisy' protest about the Coalition, and why Pauline Hanson's party is attracting voters across the political spectrum

ONE THIRD of Australian Greens voters are 'open' to voting for the viciously racist party.....the word "racist" shows up once in this Guardian podcast ep covering the polling (I checked the transcript to be sure).

Not discussing racism in white left spaces in Aus is a pretty huge mistake.
