Only a vague memory, must have been late 70s or early 80s? With an evil reindeer running around the school, eating pupils? I just remember the ending, where the lunch lady revealed the defeated and roasted reindeer as the Christmas dinner... completely glossing over how it's a cannibalism turducken.

Merry Christmas guys. Top episode 👏 My seasonal fave was Let it Snow 1986. Jared & Iona find a Bing Crosby 78 and try to manifest a White Christmas but unleash an Ice Demon. Shakin' Stevens appears as a heating engineer, and Michael Fish delivers some short-lived reassurance about the Gulf Stream ❄️

Was it the one from 1989 where the chemistry teacher is buried with a stake of Holly through his heart- but then comes back to life because of a Xmas Zombie virus?

(not actually as fun as episode as you might think because the school was closed obvs so nothing happened except Class 2B's hamster died because no-one had taken it home for the now-eternal Christmas holiday)

I was telling the kids about the one where Roy Wood guest-starred as a peripatetic wizzard and made it so it actually was Christmas every day.

Do you have a favourite Leyline High Christmas special? Maybe it’s the one from 1978 where the nativity play set is home to a magical portal and everyone passing through the manger doors is transported back in time to 0 AD. (Barry gets into terrible trouble with some Pharisees.)

Which rumour was the talk of your school? I remember hearing that there was a poltergeist haunting the studio where they filmed- and it repeatedly threw props at the actors. But it turned out to be a disgruntled floor manager.
