We've clearly been a mess with the CEO/DoF situation and failed appointments and seems like someone, probably Staveley, maybe made a verbal promise that was worthless and not sanctioned by PIF. But not sure why he was giving 'I'm happy here' interviews and doing photoshoots if he wanted to leave

He's got very little leverage with 3 years still on his contract, could be argued it's a worse look for you but has worked to unsettled things. We've had plenty great players before but as I said we're trying to progress and break the status quo, vile Saudis probs don't want to look a push either

Absolutely that's not the 'tourists' fault, the club benefits from them hugely and they're needed if you wish to be a truly international club, they have every tight to be there. Doubt the club will build a stadium to allow all to attend as it's not strategic in a business sense

The long term image and reputation of the club being a walkover, a stepping stone and feeder to the big 6. Players thinking all you need to do is sulk to get a move isn't goin to help us progress as a club and be taken seriously. We're trying to put those days behind us #nufc #lfc

I can slightly get the frustration if you have been goin to matches for years and now the club are hankering for tourists meaning you can't get tickets anymore. But does this guy even go to matches?

I can't believe our fans are seriously denying that the Saudi green kits are nothing to do with our Saudi owners. That's insane. Maybe so, but in addition #lfc have benefitted from low interest loans, unrestricted growth and power/influence/PSR to protect you. Whenever I've been to anfield to watch #nufc your fans have always been way more self aware and less entitled face to face, which for me is what really sets you apart

Practical as in you expect us and everyone below you to be a feeder to the big 6. Remember you also had unrestricted growth when you did your practical transfers. The PL is disgusting and rigged and you're top of the pecking order, but yet you can do no wrong and your place is fully deserved

Most PL clubs are owned by billionaires, the Big 6 are additionally bank rolled by obscenely huge revenues from dodgy sources following unrestricted growth so equally tainted, especially now rules protect you

Agree #lfc are prob the best run and most palatable of the big 6. FSG provided low interest loans to pay off club debt and they could grow unrestricted due to ineffective/unenforced PSR. Meanwhile we were being hollowed out until 2021 and have since faced severe restrictions to grow which LFC didnt

Huge revenues from unrestricted growth, low interest loans, inequitable TV revenues, unregulated sponsorships, suspect moving of assets, lobbying on rules etc all allowed you to finish within 1 point of a cheating citeh and also win the PL and CL. It's not quite the same, with 3 years remaining on a contract the club has leverage, but with 1 or 2 years left the player has more leverage. But neither of these knackers are being professional so I'd say no, we don't want someone like that at the club...but we could end up with both 😂

FSG wanted to sell you for profit not long ago and are hated in USA for being greedy

Most PL clubs are 'bad guys' clamouring for dodgy money, #nufc are owned by the Saudis FFS! But from interactions with #lfc fans you seem convinced youre squeaky clean and refuse to accept you benefitted from unrestricted growth which isn't possible now and resulting power to protect it

In 2021 #nufc had just been completely hollowed out so started from a much poorer position and have hit a ceiling now, #lfc squad was worth way more then as you had benefitted from low interest loans, inequitable TV revenues, unregulated sponsorships, suspect moving around of assets by FSG etc...

They use influence to the PL and other clubs on what issues are on the table for discussion and lobby for votes. PSR was introduced in 2013 as a token gesture to align with FFP, no one was in danger of overspending £105 million back then but that figure has never changed and rules have tightened

Can see why Isak/Wissa want moves but theyre acting like complete nobs. Brentford cant seriously think they can get £50/60m for a 29y/o with only 1/2 years left on his contract. Looks like both stayin put atm, Wissa will be more put out he hasnt got time on his side like Isak #nufc #lfc #brentford

Yeah it looks like a fees agreed. Its generally accepted that players start 'exploring' options with only 1/2 years left on contract. Brentford were unable to get him to renew and he's not obliged to sign. Players want future secured and clubs don't want them leaving for free next summer #nufc #lfc

Not condoning any sulky behaviour by either player, but there is quite a big difference in that Wissa only has 1 year left on his contract and Isak still has 3 years left on his contract. Wissa is also still training with Brentford

Isak wasn't a top inform target when we signed him he'd just had a poor season with Sociedad. We definitely need a change in tact we just tried to sign top inform targets and failed miserably "the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results"

Why do #lfc #afc #mcfc #mufc #cfc #thfc get defensive at the big 6 cartel. Established elites with vested interests always use power/influence to pressure/sway/lobby for rules in their favour. Its inequitable and undermines achievement but thats how it goes. #nufc will no doubt do it if we get there
