To the extent that Millennials were actually loved, I think most of their parents saw their kids as accessories or another item to "have," and then when their kids actually grew up with their own ideas, independence, hopes and dreams, hoo boy, did their Boomer parents ever resent that.

Their future was stolen from them, and the (white) Boomers, who were given EVERYTHING, have never reconciled with that because they've deluded themselves into believing that's not possible if they love their kids, except most Boomers don't really love their kids so much as they resent them.

Same. He's right. And the parents who supported this shit will say they love their kids & swear up & down they want the best for them, but then in the same breath will blame them for not taking life by the horns, when it was their parents & grandparents who took away the possibility of doing that.

There is no coherent plan for regime change because that's not the goal. What they want is a perennial bad-guy punching bag they can go hit every few months whenever they want in perpetuity.

Like at the very bare minimum of humanity to you want people who care and feel the weight of what they do, you want Abraham Lincoln struggling with his view of God and the decisions he makes as President, and the weight of all of it, and it just feels like it’s playing with toys and it’s perverse
