Eric Adams being NYPD is really why he has the ego to think he can get away with all of this. the cops face basically zero consequences for their misconduct and lawbreaking so why would he think this is any different? of course he didn’t try to cover it up, he’s never had to before

This reminds me of conservative evangelicals who insist that when Jesus said that it was easier for a rich man to pass through the eye of needle than to enter kingdom of heaven, he was talking about a gate in Jerusalem called "the eye of the needle" and that actually a rich man could get to heaven.
