I’m off to New York with almost 50 school leaders.

Yorks100 is significantly shaping my leadership capabilities and positioning me for future headship roles. The diverse cohort I am fortunate to be a part of with like-minded practitioners all working towards a shared goal of improving the disadvantage gap for our children, is empowering.

Participating in this year's cohort has opened up my network system outside of my academy trust and it has allowed me to see other great teaching practice in action and reflect on this. We have visited schools in London and we currently look forward to visiting schools in Birmingham.

Yorks100 is unique in its delivery; through conversations, headteacher tasks, coaching, residentials, study tours and more - Yorks100 is the only course out there which encompasses it all!

Yorkshire 100 is unlike any other programme I have ever been on. I would thoroughly recommend this course to anyone who would like a deeper insight into how the gap for disadvantaged students in our schools, our city and our nation can be tackled.

Here we saw an absolute determination for all pupils to progress on clear learning pathway and loved the careful thought that has gone into the design of the building and logistics

Finally, our primary and special colleagues went over to see
Marjory Kinnon School - a specialist setting where we were welcomed by headteacher Tracy Meredith.

And we broke bread together on phase 5, thanks to phenomenal catering from JPLCatering. Thank you to the whole team for making this such a special day.

We heard from staff, parents and students of the Feltham Convening Partnership and did a community walk

we saw lessons across both schools, had a panel and workshops with staff. We reflected on the sky-high expectations, the centrality of relationships and the all-through mentality.
